Anyone familiar with these? Any idea what capacity is? Ive never even seen one!

I was told they work good if you are having a good run. the problem with them is they don't pull a steady vacuum if the sap flow isn't there. The diaphragm wear out depending on how long they run, rotary pumps pull vacuum whether or not the sap is running and it also helps to crack the ice in the lines first thing in the morning to start the sap running faster. When the electric releaser gets so full of sap from gravity in the morning, it will automatically start your pump. If the releaser doesn't trip ina certain period of time, the releaser will shut your pump back off until the sap flow is greater.

A friend of mine has one and has had good luck with it. He does have to replace the diaphragms in it like twice a year but they are not that expensive. It was a cost effective alternative for him that has paid off. I've seen it pull up to 20" Hg.
