Looks like a great week for sappin' got 1/2 tapped today, hopefully finish tomorrow. Buckets up all over town. Let the fun begin :lol:

We tapped half of the trees and put up some tubing on Saturday and Sunday. We'll see what happens, but we had some dripping on Sunday. The temps are perfect, so we'll see what happens. I'm hoping that we have some sap by this weekend for boiling. Maybe we'll have some by sooner than that. We have a new evaporator to feed, so we'll see what it can do.

Tapped yesterday. My favorite tree (a scrawny over-achiever) wasn't dripping--it was a steady trickle of sap.

Needless to say, MaineMapleSamantha got the first sip. Well, once the sawdust cleared out...........

And they're off!!!

good to hear Dave,
swing in if youre passin through. We got a trickle yesterday, but a good slug today, so should be boiling tomorrow sometime. Still have a handful left to tap, 2 tanks to clean, and a busted propane fitting to fix, and Ill be in the syrup business...be in and out all day.
