I see in the last few days, the option to stay logged in has been removed. Any chance we can get this fixed? I normally check the board upwards of 5-10 times a day while I'm doing other things, and makes it a lot of work to log in each time, so now I'm down to 1-2, but then there are too many things to read each time.

I hope the feature don't come back. Yesterday I could not get the main page to even come up or the login page. I also check the trader often and I don't mind having to login.

I like the feature myself. Is this gone by plan or by error?

Sorry to offend any of you that like it, BUT I'll HAVE to AGREE with Fred on this one!

Fred, the site was down for awhile, but I don't think it has anything to do with that feature. Those that don't like it are not obligated to use it. Not sure if it's gone by design or accident, could be that while fixing the main issue, some things never got back the way they were.

I emailed Kim at the Maple Guys because I was using the auto log on and could not get the Trader homepage to come up also. She told me that there was a problem with the system and it did have to do with the auto log on feature. She did not say however if the feature was going to be back.

Very strange, but could happen. There are 10's of thousands of phpbb boards out there, and never heard of that happening. Hope they fix it.

I agree with Brandon. Didnt realize how dependant I was till I couldnt get on the site while it was down. :D If the auto log in doesnt come back it will become habit to have to do so.
Hi all,
I did disable the automatic log in feature because it seemed to be causing people to not be able to access the boards this past week. We are upgrading the boards in the near future, so there will be a new look, and some of the convenient features will be back (as long as we can stay ahead of the multiple spammers/hackers we deal with on a daily basis). I don't want to risk turning the feature back on now, as we are holding this site together with bubble gum and duct tape right now!

I'm voting for the auto log on feature. Like most new Englanders, I liked the old way better.

In a year like this a guy has to have a sense of humor. I am glad to see that you still have yours and yes we all need more taps. :D

It's good to see that you guys have a sense of humor. :D
Fred, after you boil with an RO the only way you would want to get rid of it would be to get a bigger one. 8O

Russ,
I am sure that you are correct. For you guys that need to make part or all of your living from sugaring the RO is a big step forward. This is a hobby for me. In my age and gender poll I am the oldest one here so far. I would love to have a younger family member that would want to take it over. Then maybe they would put in an RO.

Fred,
Sugaring is a hobby for me too. With a full time job the RO makes it fun again. I can process large amounts of sap in a small amount of time and still get a good nights sleep.
It is too bad that you don't have someone to take over when you can't do it anymore. I have a 23 year old son that will probably take over for me and a 6 year old grandson that loves the sugaring too.
