free ss draw off pale

Hi, guys just want to share with you, I made my draw-off pale from a ss water fire extinguisher. I cut the top off and added a bale. They come in two gallon sizes. So you can customize to fit your needs. I got mine free for the asking from a fire extingisher service company. ( yellow pages) Perhap a barter of some suryp would work also.

Thanks for the advice, thats a great idea. Id like to make something up that size for next year with a cover, and small hole with a little shield on it to keep the ashes, wood, dust and dirt out....maybe Ill start there :lol: -----Jeremy

Your welcome, I found a small pot lid that fit mine . Also I started out using the extinguisher as a filter can. I would roll a felt filter down a few inches and then hang it over the lip of the can. I could filter about a gallon of syrup at a time. I figured that If needed I could line up as many as needed for expantion. Bruce
