Clarification on Recent Posts and the Admin

Several Members have contacted me asking as the Admin. for clarification or my thoughts on some of the recent posts

In the past there were issues with members abusing the forum in ways not pertaining to the forum rules.... overuse as a chat room, harassment of other members and general disregard for other members ideas or thoughts. the past forum admin felt it necessary to ban a few members after repeated warnings.

I will not point fingers or name these past members . I also know that a few have new member names and do post in the forums.

With this said, this forum is here for everyone's enjoyment, I do not want to ban, forbid, blackball etc, any member or guest using this forum. Some of the recent posts started again to go over the top... THE RULES OF THE FORUM MUST BE ADHERED TO !! PERIOD!! they are there for a reason, to keep the peace and civility in this forum.... a forum without rules cannot function. We have folks from all over, different age, sex, race, creed, group,or whatever... ALL are here to understand MAPLE a little more, or give their thoughts on the subject.... they are not here to talk about politics... they are not here to tell you of another MAPLE forum you should go to , they are not here to sell you objectionable material or spam! they are here for maple.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... Members, the rules are at the top of the forum front page

Please contact me if there is any objectionable material or posts, rather than getting into a shouting match with the poster, please just contact me so I can deal with it.... too many members get caught up in the banter and end up in no better shape than the original culprit.


I do want to see your comments on this matter, the forum can always be improved with your help.... we are not here to run people out of town, just here to have a great place for the maple world to enjoy

Mapleman3 As you can tell by some of the past and present post it is very easy to get into a chat or unrelated maple talk. I know during the off season this is a place to help feed the addiction and talk with other members. A place to learn and share knowledge and I for one appreciate this forum and the administrators for taking the time to keep it alive and reasonable. With that said I am wondering if creating a chat room would help free up alot of the unwanted clutter. It could be a place for us to check into and have a live chat with several members at one time and of course all the rules should apply to this as well. Any thoughts on this.
